Work letter

  1. A binding letter that a commercial bank or investment bank may ask its customer to sign before the bank undertakes significant work or expense. In the letter the customer agrees to reimburse the bank for certain out of pocket costs and expenses. This letter is often not asked for and it is even less frequently signed. It is more common to sign an indemnification letter.
