Collateral
- The items of property of a debtor assigned, granted, hypothecated, mortgaged or transferred as 'security' by the debtor to a mortgagee or secured party to support repayment of a secured obligation. The mortgagee or secured party will have a priority claim superior to the claims of other creditors in the collateral to repay the secured obligation.
